I decided to take the offspring to lunch at Applebee’s today while I contemplated my “to-do” list. Here it is in no particular order: Laundry, mail birthday cards, write my blog post, laundry, FedEx a copy of Magestic Dreams to Book Briefs for the first semi-official book review, make an appointment for a haircut, pedicure?, bathe the weenie dog, learn how to tweet, laundry.
“I have to write on my blog,” I sighed. “Any ideas?”
“Haven’t you had like a week to think about it?” My sometimes-too-smart-for-their-own-good kids pointed out.
“I’ve been busy,” I mumble.
“You’ve been procrastinating,” they declare.
Could it be true? Have I been inflicted with the same disorder that has plagued my family for years? The same disorder I have been quick to recognize and point out in my too-smart-for-their-own-good kids? The answer is yes. But have no fear, I have a back-up plan for just such an occasion.
For those of you that have read my book Magestic Dreams, I have added a page at the top right corner of the screen titled: Spoiler Alert! In one click you will be able to read an excerpt and brief character summaries of Book 2. And for a limited time, if you click on the Book 2—Sneak Peak tab you can read the first chapter. Completely unedited, of course.
For those of you that suffer from the same horrible condition of procrastination and have not yet read the book, you still have time to catch up. The excerpt and character summaries will remain but the first chapter will magically disappear in two weeks.
Happy reading! And remember, don’t do today what you can put off until tomorrow. Or is it the other way around?
